Funding

As part of our commitment to the best patient care, AMO will assist individuals as much as possible to seek funding for devices we dispense.  Below are examples of government, private and charitable organizations that assist with funding for our services.

Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) for First Nations

There may be funding available for First Nations individuals with a valid Treaty number assigned through the Non-Insured Health Benefits Program.  Please inform us if you have a Certificate of Indian Status Card issued to you.

Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)

The Department of Veterans Affairs may provide funding for those who qualify.  We can apply on your behalf and receive prior approval for any services and goods provided to you.  Please inquire with your Orthotist to determine if you qualify.

Private or Third-Party Insurance

Your private employment or personal insurance may supply funding for your device.  Each company and policy can vary significantly, so ensure you review your policy to determine if you qualify.  We can assist you in filing for your claim, providing estimates, letters, or other communication on your behalf.  Please contact your AMO for more information.
